Valley Chords Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, an organization of nearly 25,000 women worldwide who sing four-part a cappella harmony, barbershop style.

We are the only chapter in Vermont!

We need a couple of talented singers that would like to sing with a small a capella chorus!

We are busy preparing for the Sweet Adelines International, Region 1 competition. It will be held over 2 days May 4th (Quartets) and May 5th ( Chorus competition).

We are learning two songs-

Sitting on Top of the World ( our uptune) and Baby Please Come Home (as a ballad) both arranged by Lorraine Rochefort.

We'll be having a session on individual  coaching on March 14th at our regular rehearsal and a weekend retreat with Lorraine Rochefort, . These special coaching sessions help us in every area of vocal production, showmanship and  help us improve our performance scores.

Come join us, we'll have you joining in. and there is time to join in time to be with us for competition!! if you are a talented singer and learn music easily.

We're looking forward to singing with our brother chorus and other local and not so local barbershop groups

Our Wednesday evening rehearsals are open to all visitors and prospective members.  If you love to sing (especially if you can carry a tune) come visit and learn how much fun singing in four part harmony can be.

Here we are dressed in our costumes and ready for going on stage at the Annual Chorus Competition!

Every year Sweet Adelines Region One sponsors a competition for Member Quartets and Choruses, who each perform two songs on Stage at the Springfield Mass, Opera House in front of family,  friends and other members of the region.  This year was special for us because we had enough singers on stage to be officially in the Chorus competition,  We received scores in each of the four categories assessed by International Judges that determine the quality of the performance music, sound expression and showmanship.

Winners are chosen to go to International Competitions while all others get valuable experience being on stage and feedback from the judges. This feedback is invaluable to our chorus in making  improvements every year. Besides that, it's lots of fun. This year we got to hear performances by 24 quartets and 19 choruses whose numbers range up to nearly 100 singers and dancers on stage! Best weekend of the year for the New England women's barbershop community!
